With or without filters?
If you are talking about high quality home stereo systems and you mention the
word “equalizer” you will reap a contemptuous smile. Equalizers are still not very popular for home applications but definitly a must in every high end car audio equipment. It’s the only chance to get strong
resonances of the cars interior under control. But in case of the Elise Audio System we are not talking about those common graphic EQ’s with their fixed center frequencies - we mean car specific parametric filters
with fully adjustable center frequencies, Q values and gain.
The Elise Audio System offers four of these filters for the front channels and two for the rear channels. Furthermore we are working on four additional
speed-dependent filters in order to smooth the sound during driving.
